Ingredients  

  • 500 g frozen fries of your choice
  • 250 g ground turkey

Spice mix

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • vegetable oil small drizzle
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 4 branches thyme
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp flour
  • 1.5 cups turkey stock
  • 150 g cheese curds

Instructions

  • Cook the fries according to the package.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground turkey with the spices, salt and pepper. Make small meatballs.
  • Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium high heat.
  • Cook the meatballs about 3 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan.
  • Add the butter, onion, thyme, sugar, salt and pepper to the pan and cook for about 6-7 minutes.
  • Add the flour and mix for 1 minute.
  • Then, add the broth and whisk until it becomes a homogeneous gravy. Adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
  • Put the meatballs in the sauce and simmer over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Serve the fries and garnish with the meatballs, gravy, and cheese curds.
