Ingredients  

Meatballs

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ onion chopped
  • ½ red bell pepper cut into small dice
  • 3 button mushrooms diced
  • 454 g extra-lean ground turkey
  • ¼ cup parsley chopped
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp allspice
  • ½ tsp sriracha hot sauce
  • ½ tsp worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce reduced salt
  • 1 tsp sriracha hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup 15% cooking cream
  • freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions

For the meatballs:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, heat the oil and cook the onion, bell pepper and mushrooms for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Transfer the vegetables to a large bowl.
  • Add all meatball ingredients to bowl and mix.
  • Form 16 meatballs.
  • Spray a little oil in the basket of the air fryer.
  • Place the meatballs in the basket.
  • Cook for 17 minutes at 390ËšF. making sure to stir the basket several times.

For the sauce:

  • In a pot over medium heat, melt butter.
  • Add the flour and stir for 2 minutes.
  • Add the vegetable stock and whisk.
  • Add mustard, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and cream.
  • Season with pepper and bring to a boil.
  • Add meatballs and mix.
  • Serve with parsley.
