Ingredients  

  • 1 lb ground turkey Granny’s
  • ¼ cup yellow onion diced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 ¼ cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup fresh green peas or frozen
  • salt to taste

To Serve

  • basmati rice
  • cilantro

Instructions

  • In a large frying pan, brown the turkey over medium-high heat for about 5 to 8 minutes. Add yellow onion and mix.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Add ginger, garlic, tomato paste and curry powder and garam masala spice blend. Mix well to incorporate.
  • Pour in coconut milk and mix until no tomato paste clumps remain.
  • Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 to 8 minutes. Stir in peas and cook for another 5 minutes. Salt as desired.
  • To serve, spoon Turkey Keema over freshly made basmati rice and top with cilantro.
