Ingredients  

  • 4 turkey thighs
  • 4 turkey drumsticks
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • lemon juice from 1 whole lemon
  • 2 tbsp garam masala
  • 6 cloves garlic finely grated
  • 2 inches ginger finely grated
  • ½ tbsp dry ginger powder
  • ½ tbsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ tbsp kasoori methi fried fenugreek leaves
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • ½ tbsp powdered red food colour optional

Instructions

  • Place turkey thighs and drumsticks in a resealable plastic bag.
  • In a bowl mix together yogurt, lemon, garam masala, garlic, ginger, dry ginger, cayenne chili, nutmeg, kasoori methi, salt and food colour until well combined.
  • Pour marinade over the turkey and seal the bag to close. Massage turkey ensuring every piece is coated in marinade. Marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 3 hours to overnight for maximum flavour.
  • Heat a grill to 350° F. Place turkey skin side down on the grill. Cook for 30-35 minutes, flipping once or twice, until slightly charred on the outside and cooked through to the middle. The internal temperature should read 165° F.
  • Remove from the grill and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
