Sweet and Smokey Dry Turkey Rub

Ingredients
  

  • 1 boneless, skinless turkey breasts Granny's
  • 1 tbsp cornmeal
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp dried roasted garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp freshly cracked black pepper  
  • ½ tsp mustard powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat grill to medium-high (400ᵒF | 200ᵒC).
  • Combine cornmeal, brown sugar, paprika, cumin, garlic, cayenne, pepper, mustard and salt in a bowl to make rub.
  • Coat turkey with the rub on all sides.
  • Grill thighs over direct medium-high indirect heat for about 40 minutes until a thermometer probe reads 170°F (77°C).

Notes

Try this recipe with dark meat! Simply replace the turkey breast with 2 turkey thighs.
