Guacamole Turkey Burgers

Ingredients
  

Turkey Patties

  • 500 g ground turkey extra lean
  • 1 egg whites
  • 2 cloves garlic pressed
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper

Guacamole

  • 2 large avocado ripened
  • 2 cloves garlic pressed
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp lime juice
  • chili flakes to taste

Fixings

  • 4 buns of choice
  • 2 large red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 large hot house tomato sliced
  • jalapeño peppers sliced
  • ½ cup butter leaf lettuce
  • barbecue sauce of choice

Instructions
 

  • Pre heat barbeque or grill
  • In a mixing bowl, combine burger ingredients thoroughly and form into patties about 1 inch thick and 3-4 cm in diameter.
  • Place patties on barbecue and grill for 5 minutes. Flip and keep on grill until desired brown and internal temperature reaches 165 deg
  • Combine guacamole ingredients while burgers finish cooking
  • Spread BBQ sauce on patties and Remove burgers from grill.
  • Assemble by spreading guacamole on buns and layering desired fresh toppings!
