TIP: If you leave the sauce to rest covered and off the heat, it will thicken faster.
For Meatballs: Batch Turkey Meatballs
- In saucepan, heat oil over medium heat and cook onion, garlic, oregano, basil, pepper and hot pepper flakes for 2 minutes or until softened.
- Add tomatoes, salt and sugar. Using potato masher, crush tomatoes.
- Bring to a boil and add meatballs. Cover and reduce heat to simmer for about 15 minutes or until thickened.
- Be sure to taste the sauce closer to the end of cooking and season it further to your taste.
