4 - 6 turkey legs (about 3 - 5 pounds) (the number depends on how many people you are feeding)
Salt and fresh ground pepper
BBQ Sauce:
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp hot sauce
Directions
Pat and dry the turkey legs, then season with salt and fresh ground pepper. Set aside.
Mix together the ingredients for the homemade BBQ sauce. Separate the sauce into 2 bowls, use half for basting while grilling, and use the rest for dipping at dinner time! Set aside.
Grilling the Turkey Legs:
Lightly oil your grill, then set your BBQ to medium heat.
Sear the turkey legs by grilling them for about 5 minutes on each side (top and bottom).
Continue to roast the turkey legs for about 45 minutes, turning every 10 to 15 minutes,
After this time, baste the turkey legs with the sauce, and continue to roast them for about 15 minutes longer. While the turkey legs are roasting for this last 15 minutes, baste them several times so the sauce becomes nice and sticky and caramelized. Note: Watch them carefully in case the BBQ flares up!
Remove the turkey legs from the BBQ and serve with the extra sauce.
