Before serving, sprinkle with paprika and if desired, garnish with green or red pepper, parsley, or green onions.
- Remove skin from turkey and discard.
- Place turkey and onions in a large, heavy saucepan or skillet.
- Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over turkey.
- Simmer, covered, until tender – about 1 ½ hours. Stir and baste turkey thighs occasionally.
